KONBU® has the highest level of hardness among nylons and is characterised by its dryness and tightness (compactness). It also has extremely high colourability, allowing you to enjoy a wide range of colour expression, from natural to vivid.
The unique special processing technology swells each fibre, giving it a bulky feel and increasing its volume. By modifying the nylon fibres themselves, the crystallinity of the fibres is increased by 10% to 30%, hardening the texture.
KONBU® is a material that can stand on its own as a ‘standing fabric’ due to its lightness and hardness.
At first glance it looks like casual ‘canvas’, but when held it is surprisingly light. Made from 100% nylon, KONBU® is lighter than its appearance would suggest. It also has excellent tear strength.
