Reinterpreting work pants originally developed for painters in the 1920s and 1930s, F/CE. transforms a classic workwear silhouette into a contemporary utility pant.
The fabric is an original denim woven from custom-spun 7-count yarn, blending 70% cotton with 30% CORDURA® nylon. By using the blended yarn for both the warp and weft and opting for straight yarns rather than slub yarns, the fabric achieves a clean, contemporary appearance with a refined surface.
The denim retains the character and aging associated with classic cotton denim, while CORDURA® nylon enhances abrasion resistance and tear strength. Lightweight and supple, the fabric combines the familiar appeal of traditional denim with the performance of modern functional materials.
A baggy silhouette and elasticated waist provide ease of movement and everyday comfort, while workwear-inspired details, including a hammer loop and tool pockets, are integrated into a minimal design. Balancing utility, comfort, and durability, these pants offer a modern interpretation of classic workwear through the lens of F/CE.
